This Sunday, Febuary 22, Bill Berloni is the special guest at the Herding Dog Rescue Luncheon and Chinese Auction. The luncheon is at 12:30 at the Palace of Wong in Rockville Centre. For those of you who don't know, Bill Berloni is the Broadway animal trainer. He first learned his craft as the dog trainer for the original production of Annie. He has written a very enjoyable book; Broadway Tails, about all of his Broadway training experiences-not all of them dogs either. One of the great things that Bill has done is use rescue dogs in all his performances and he makes sure they get the best homes after the show closes. In his spare time Bill volunteers for the ASPCA to help more animals in need. I was lucky enough to meet Bill and he gave me tips for my then upcoming performance in Annie at the Commack Y.
