The highlight of Old Westbury Gardens Fall Dog Days is the Halloween Costume Parade. Here are some of my favorite costumes (and dogs) that participated:

The littlest pony!

And the winner...

Dog Day Events

The Old Westbury Gardens Fall Dog Days had more than just great scenery. There were many events and exhibitors during the day. You can see I enjoyed Furry Murray and the Bow Wow Band, Jilli the Poker Playing Dog, shopping for treats and bandannas as well as enjoying the great outdoors!

Fall Dog Days

This past Sunday, I went to Dog Days at Old Westbury Gardens. As you can see from these photos it was a beautiful day for dogs and their people to walk around outside. The gardens were looking especially beautiful and full of glorious fall colors.

Fall Fun!

I took a trip to Hick's Nursery in Westbury to check out the fall decorations. Luckily we brought the camera since there were some good photo ops! All I wanted to do was check out the sheep and goats in the pen behind the scenery.

Fall Festival

Fall is a great time to go out on the town. There are so many fairs and festivals at this time of year. This past weekend I visited the Huntington Fall Festival. I shopped for new bandannas, bought some homemade dog treats, and met celebrities like the big Newsday dog, Home Depot Homer and Scott Feldman from News 12 Long Island.

Lets Go Yankees!

As you can see I am rooting for my favorite baseball team, the New York Yankees! I wonder, why do they use those mitts? Why not just pick up the ball in your mouth and run with it?

Feast of St. Francis

This Sunday, October 4th is the Feat of St. Francis of Assisi. Along with all of his good works, St. Francis is known as the patron Saint of Animals. Many organizations sponsor Blessing of the Animals around this date. Here I am being blessed by Fr. Tom Hartman.
