Holiday Happenings

There is lots of Christmas fun to be had this week! I visited a local nursery where I saw a Gingerbread House bigger than any dog house I'd ever seen! I stopped to listen to some holiday music and helped to pick out the Christmas Tree. Now if I can just be good until December 25!

Santa Claus and Santa Paws

Today I went on a trip to the mall. Mom dressed me up in a red coat and said we were going to visit someone special. We got on a line with lots of other pups and kids. When we got to the front of the line I went up and saw a jolly old man wearing the same outfit as me! Santa Claus let me get up on his chair and asked me if I was a good dog all year to which I replied "mostly". He then asked me what I wanted for Christmas. "Really squeaky toys, some yummy treats and lots of cats to chase!" Then some nice elves took our picture. If you want to visit Santa, he will be at The Broadway Mall in Hicksville and pet night is Tuesdays 6-9pm.

Happy Thanksgiving!

This Thanksgiving I am thankful for puperoni, belly rubs, long walks outside and of course Turkey! But most of all I am thankful that when I was a puppy I was rescued from the animal shelter and given a good home where I am spoiled every day!
HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

Dog Day Events

The Old Westbury Gardens Fall Dog Days had more than just great scenery. There were many events and exhibitors during the day. You can see I enjoyed Furry Murray and the Bow Wow Band, Jilli the Poker Playing Dog, shopping for treats and bandannas as well as enjoying the great outdoors!

Fall Dog Days

This past Sunday, I went to Dog Days at Old Westbury Gardens. As you can see from these photos it was a beautiful day for dogs and their people to walk around outside. The gardens were looking especially beautiful and full of glorious fall colors.

Fall Fun!

I took a trip to Hick's Nursery in Westbury to check out the fall decorations. Luckily we brought the camera since there were some good photo ops! All I wanted to do was check out the sheep and goats in the pen behind the scenery.

Fall Festival

Fall is a great time to go out on the town. There are so many fairs and festivals at this time of year. This past weekend I visited the Huntington Fall Festival. I shopped for new bandannas, bought some homemade dog treats, and met celebrities like the big Newsday dog, Home Depot Homer and Scott Feldman from News 12 Long Island.

Lets Go Yankees!

As you can see I am rooting for my favorite baseball team, the New York Yankees! I wonder, why do they use those mitts? Why not just pick up the ball in your mouth and run with it?

Feast of St. Francis

This Sunday, October 4th is the Feat of St. Francis of Assisi. Along with all of his good works, St. Francis is known as the patron Saint of Animals. Many organizations sponsor Blessing of the Animals around this date. Here I am being blessed by Fr. Tom Hartman.

A Sweet Smelling Place!

Here is one of my favorite adventures! A few years ago mom and I hopped in the car and drove out to the North Fork of Long Island. We found many beautiful and dog friendly sights that day! One of the nicest was Lavender By The Bay-a lavender farm. Boy did it smell nice. We went for a nice hie through the fields and mom came home with homemade lavender soap, honey and a lavender plant for our yard. For more information on this unique place, or directions please see their web site at : http://www.lavenderbythebay.com/

Bananas for Bandanas!

I always like to look my best. I just got some terrific bandanas from the people at The Edge Tie Dye. Mom got skirts and a dress that match them as well. If you are interested in visiting them check out their web site: www.theedgetiedye.com You can see all the different tie dye items they have. You can also check out if they will be at a local fair or festival near you! As you can see my fur is growing back slowly!
